Q:    Does the shortbread have a shelf life?

A:     Our shortbread is made with natural ingredients with no added preservatives.   We seal our product as soon as it cools from the oven and the sealed packages unopened have a shelf life of five months.



Q:     What are the origins of 'Petticoat tails'.

A:      It is said that the name came from the French ‘petit gatelles’,  meaning little cakes, though it is generally thought that the name has its origin in the shape, which is exactly that of the bell-hoop petticoats worn by women in the nineteenth century. Mary Queen of Scots is reputed to have been very fond of these biscuits.
